Pyrrolidinyl Diaminopyrimidine oxide vs minoxidil for male and female hair loss

  • Description

Pyrrolidinyl Diaminopyrimidine oxide is a new compound very similar to Minoxidil that is used to treat hair loss in men and women, as well as for the growth of beards, eyebrows, eyelashes, etc.

What is Pyrrolidinyl Diaminopyrimidine?

Pyrrolidinyl Diaminopyrimidine’s full name is Pyrrolidinyl Diaminopyrimidine oxide, abbreviated to PDO or PDPO, also known as kopyrrol. There are other hair growth products on sale under the names Minoxol, Neominoxidil, nanoxidil, aminexil, etc. The main ingredient is Pyrrolidinyl Diaminopyrimidine, Or it may contain Pyrrolidinyl Diaminopyrimidine.

Pyrrolidinyl Diaminopyrimidine is commonly used in hair care products such as shampoos, conditioners, lotions, gels, refinements, sprays and oils, as well as in eyelash and eyebrow beard growth preparations.

Pyrrolidinyl (C8H13N5O, CAS 55921-65-8) is a synthetic small molecule protein kinase inhibitor of azathine. Azathine small molecule protein kinase inhibitors have the effects of lowering blood pressure and treating Parkinson’s disease. They are widely used in medicine and food additives.

How does Pyrrolidinyl  grow hair?

Pyrrolidinyl  opens potassium ion channels, improves blood circulation on scalp surface, provides nutrients needed for hair growth to restore fragile hair follicle cells, strengthens hair roots, inhibits hair loss, and promotes hair growth.

It acts on the deep structure of the roots of the hair to promote hair growth and increase the volume of growing hair. Through the blood, it works at the root level of the hair and is responsible for a healthy scalp and hair. Pyrrolidinyl Used in hair cosmetics, it can prevent hair loss caused by premature depletion of hair roots, and it also improves hair density by extending the growth period of hair, increasing the number of hairs and improving hair density.

Efficacy of Pyrrolidinyl  in the treatment of alopecia

Pyrrolidinyl  is currently added to many hair care products, and it is prepared into a mixed solution with some other hair growth compounds, which can play a synergic role.

In the experiment, after 5 months of treatment with Pyrrolidinyl  solution for hair loss, there was a significant 64% increase in hair density and 77% increase in hair growth activity compared to baseline, and the proportion of hair in the hair growth phase significantly increased during the treatment.

Pyrrolidinyl Diaminopyrimidine oxide for Female pattern Hair Loss (FPHL)

Female pattern alopecia (FPHL) is a common female condition in which hair is slowly and progressively thinning. Although FPHL does not affect women’s physical health, it causes great distress to female patients.

The only FDA-approved drug used to treat FPHL is Minoxidil. Minoxidil is effective for hair loss in women, but because it often causes itching and irritation, women do not tolerate Minoxidil well.

In a process based on Pyrrolidinyl Diaminopyrimidine oxide, various ingredients such as azelaic acid, lysophosphatidic acid, copper tripeptide-1, myristyl pentapeptide-17, adenosine, piroxone ethanolamine, retinal alcohol and caffeine were added and dissolved in a novel nanosomic transmitter. Used in trials of female hair loss. Forty-nine women diagnosed with early-stage FPHL and excessive shedding were treated with the mixture for six months, and 75 percent of the participants experienced an increase in overall hair density. At the third month of the trial, 47 percent of patients experienced moderate or substantial increases in hair density. By the sixth month, 96% of patients showed an improvement in hair density. Patients who continued treatment for six months showed a statistically significant improvement in average overall hair density compared to three months of treatment. (1ml for topical use twice a day)

Advantages of Pyrrolidinyl Diaminopyrimidine oxide

Many drugs to treat hair loss are insoluble in water, need to dissolve in high concentration alcohol or propylene glycol and other solvents, these solvents have a stimulating effect on the scalp, may make the scalp dry, allergic, leading to dandruff, redness and so on. Pyrrolidinyl  is dissolved in water and formulated in a gentler manner to provide an excellent moisturizing effect to the scalp to reduce scalp itching or dandruff and increase hair volume or elasticity.

In recent years, there has been increasing consumer interest in hair care products that improve the look and feel of hair and promote hair care. In particular, the care of hair quality such as dyeing and perm is increasing day by day. Damaged hair can result in poor hair texture, difficult to comb, and affect the overall appearance. Pyrrolidinyl has been widely used in various forms in various hair care products to relieve scalp inflammation, reduce scalp itching, improve hair volume and elasticity, and make hair more supple and beautiful.

Pyrrolidinyl  has been reported internationally for use in hair care. Cosmetics containing the active ingredient Pyrrolidinyl also have excellent moisturizing effects when applied to the skin. It can protect the skin, improve wrinkles, whiten and remove spots.

Pyrrolidinyl dose

Pyrrolidinyl  is intended for topical use in the form of a solution, usually in a concentration of 5%, 1ml twice daily on clean, dry hair. Therefore, the dose is 50mg each time, for a total of 100mg twice daily.

As recommended by the European Scientific Committee, a solution of 1.5% Pyrrolidinyl was used in 1 vial of 6ml for a total dose of 90mg. The dosage should be used at least three times a week.

Pyrrolidinyl Diaminopyrimidine oxide vs Minoxidil

Many people, when buying Minoxidil, may buy a solution containing Pyrrolidinyl Diaminopyrimidine.

The connection between Pyrrolidinyl  and Minoxidil can be seen in some of its names such as Minoxol, New Minoxidil, nanoxidil, aminexil, etc. It’s so similar to Minoxidil, both chemically and physically, that it’s no wonder people often associate or compare them with one another.

Molecular structure

Pyrrolidinyl Diaminopyrimidine oxide has the molecular formula C8H13N5O. Minoxidil has the formula C9H15N5O. The difference between their molecular formulas is CH2, a carbon-hydrogen bond. The comparison is as follows:

Pyrrolidinyl Diaminopyrimidine oxide vs Minoxidil’s molecular structure is so similar that it looks almost identical at first glance, so it’s reasonable to suspect that they have a similar function, as they do.

Pyrrolidinyl Diaminopyrimidine oxide has a smaller molecule, which theoretically results in better permeability and absorption.

Effect – Hypertension

Minoxidil was originally used to treat high blood pressure, and promoting hair growth is a side effect of Minoxidil in the treatment of high blood pressure. Subsequent clinical trials demonstrated Minoxidil’s superior efficacy in treating hair loss, and as a result, the FDA approved it to treat male and female hair loss.

Pyrrolidinyl Diaminopyrimidine oxide  is a synthetic azathine small molecule protein kinase inhibitor. Azazine small molecule protein kinase inhibitors have a role in the human body such as lowering blood pressure, which overlaps partially with the role of Minoxidil, so there is a definite relationship between them.

Minoxidil, which has fewer side effects, is a big plus for Pyrrolidinyl . Minoxidil is insoluble in water, so it must be dissolved in ethanol (common Minoxidil solvents are ethanol and propylene glycol) for use. This can lead to some undesirable side effects, such as headaches and skin irritation. Pyrrolidinyl  is based on nanotechnology and water-based solutions, so it has fewer side effects compared to Minoxidil. At the same time, it also has excellent hair growth and is no worse than Minoxidil.

Whether it is approved by FDA

Pyrrolidinyl Diaminopyrimidine oxide is not approved by the FDA for the treatment of hair loss. However, the European Scientific Committee approved Diaminopyrimidine oxide as a hair care formula to prevent further hair loss.

Although we may rarely see Pyrrolidinyl  sold alone, it is used in a variety of hair care products, beard growth, eyebrow and eyelash growth products.

Pyrrolidinyl provides adequate nutrition to the hair, prolongs the growth period of the hair, increases the diameter of the hair, strengthens the hair, makes the hair thicker and more vigorous. It provides superior water retention, making hair moisturized and shiny for a long time, not frizzy and easy to care for.

Of all the hair growth products, Pyrrolidinyl is more suitable for women’s hair care. At the same time, many men use it to care for their hair and beard.
